Katharine Viner joined the Guardian as a writer in 1997 and has since undertaken numerous roles, including editor of Weekend magazine, features editor, and Saturday editor. She was appointed deputy editor of the Guardian in 2008; launched the award-winning Guardian Australia in 2013; and was most recently editor-in-chief of Guardian US. She became editor-in-chief of Guardian News & Media in June 2015.
Katharine gave the 2013 AN Smith lecture in journalism at the University of Melbourne, The Rise of the Reader, discussing journalism in the age of the open web. Prior to joining the Guardian, Katharine worked at the Sunday Times in London. She was on the board of London’s Royal Court theatre for 13 years and judged the Orange prize in 2006.

Emily Bell
Joined The Scott Trust in January 2013. He is founder and CEO of Wall to Wall Media. He is chair of the Sheffield International Documentary Festival, a trustee of New Deal of the Mind, a board member of Hampstead Theatre, visiting professor of television at Lincoln University and a member of the Advisory Board for the National Film and Television School’s Entrepreneurial Producing Course.

Alex Graham
Joined The Scott Trust in March 2005. He is the Acting Warden of Rhodes House, chair of the Academic Council of the Europaeum, a Senior Fellow of the Oxford Internet Institute and until 2011 was Master of Balliol College, Oxford. He was Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister, 1967-69 and 1974-76, and to the Leader of the Labour Party, John Smith, 1988-94. From 1998 to 2005, he was a Non-Executive Director of Channel 4 Television.

Andrew Graham
Joined The Scott Trust in 2004. He is currently principal of Hertford College Oxford and chair of the Big Innovation Centre. He was formerly on the board of Guardian News & Media and edited The Observer. He continues to write a column for The Observer and contributes to the Guardian.

Will Hutton
Appointed chief executive officer of Guardian Media Group in July 2015. David joined Guardian News & Media (GNM) in 2011 as chief marketing officer, before being appointed chief commercial officer in 2012. A year later David assumed the newly-created role of deputy chief executive, taking on increased accountability for the GNM business. He was previously Marketing Director of ITV, and in 2000 launched Shine Entertainment. He is a fellow of the Marketing Society, council member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain and a Voting Member of BAFTA.

Joined The Scott Trust in 1997 and the Board in 1999. Joined the Guardian as a reporter in 1979, became deputy editor in 1993 and was appointed to the Guardian News & Media board in 1994. He was editor-in-chief of Guardian News & Media from 1995 to 2015.

Alan Rusbridger
Joined The Scott Trust in 2009. Anthony is an executive vice chairman of Rothschild and director of NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd. For most of his career he worked as a corporate lawyer with Freshfields, becoming senior partner in 1996. He is chair of the Eden Trust, chair of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and a member of the Board of the Media Standards Trust. He is also a trustee of the Royal Opera House, the Eden Trust, Reprieve and the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. He was previously vice chairman of the Board of Governors of the BBC from 2004 until the end of 2006, non-executive member of the Board of the Department for Education and chair of the Independent Commission on Youth Crime and Antisocial Behaviour. In the 2013 Birthday Honours, he was knighted for services to young people and public life.
