Guardian News & Media Limited (GNM) is the core business of GMG. Financial information presented in GNM’s accounts differs from that shown in the GMG group accounts because: the GMG group accounts show consolidated information for the Guardian News & Media division which includes the statutory accounts of GNM and other subsidiary companies; the GNM accounts are prepared in accordance with UK GAAP, whereas the GMG group accounts are prepared in accordance with IFRS; and there are also accounting entries in the GNM accounts which eliminate on consolidation in the GMG group accounts.
